Kitchen Herb Gardens
A herb is a plant that is mainly used to add flavor or scent to the food or used for medicinal purpose or for its other qualities. Some of the herbs are also used for spiritual purposes. The herb garden is the special place assigned in your garden for growing these herbs. Herb gardening can be carried out in minimal space. If you don’t have enough space in your backyard for gardening, you can plant your herb garden in your balcony or even in your kitchen. Such gardens are called kitchen herb gardens. Here you can grow some useful herbs and use them whenever necessary.
Herb Gardens:
The culinary herbs are the most popular herbs to grow in the garden. They can be used in cooking and seasoning can be integrated into the existing flower beds or grown separately near your kitchen. Planting the herb gardens is similar to planting the flower plants or vegetables. The major considerations to be kept in mind while planting herb gardens are to harvest at full flavor and never use any fertilizer or pesticide that is not labeled for use on edible plants.
Growing Culinary Herbs:
Herb gardens are easy to grow and they are resistant to diseases. Herb gardening is easy even for the beginners and it is also simple to harvest the herbs.
Kitchen Herb Gardening:
* While planting the herb gardens, pick the sunny site close to your kitchen. Herbs grow well in 6 to 8 hours of sunlight
* You can plant the herbs in the container and place the container in the balcony of the kitchen or in a place where it will receive maximum sunlight throughout daytime
* Water the herbs in the morning. Herbs don’t require much water and watering in the morning will dry the leaves quickly in the morning light
* Pinch the leaves from the top as the plant grows. This will help to increase the branches of the plant and produce good results
* While pinching, do not remove many leaves from the plant or it will be difficult for it to produce more leaves
Herb gardens are easy to maintain and require less attention. You can grow these gardens in any corner of your flower garden or even in your kitchen in some suitable containers.
